Drilling and blasting Australia wide.

Southern Explosives Supplies is an Australian drill and blast contractor for mining, quarrying and civil construction, operating since 1980.

Who we work with

Southern Explosives Supplies started as a one-person operation in 1980. Today we are an independent Australian drill and blast contractor supporting more than 30 active sites, with offices and workshops in Goulburn, New South Wales and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, a modern Epiroc and Furukawa fleet and our own transport division.

What we do

Drilling and blasting for mining, quarrying and civil construction, backed by maintenance, field service and dry hire.

GPS guided drilling
and survey

Our rigs and survey equipment run current positioning technology, from pattern set-out through to blast reconciliation.

Hole Navigation System

GPS guided drilling on our Epiroc rigs. The rig positions each hole to the blast design without survey mark-up on the floor, in any conditions, day or night.

Modern survey equipment

Drill pattern set-out, as-built surveys, blast reconciliation and quality assurance using current generation survey equipment.

Design and reporting

Blast designs, drill logs and post-blast reports document what was designed, drilled and fired on every shot.

The fleet

Our rigs are owned, late model and serviced by our own maintenance division, and mobilised Australia wide by the SES transport division.

Day and night
operations

Production does not always run to office hours. When the program requires it, SES can structure night operations and around-the-clock project support, including shift coverage, field service and breakdown response.
